Client L4D Server up?

Anyone have enough upload to host one?

This game truly is amazing, best experience I've had in a FPS, and I've only played it for 15 minutes.

For those who think its just a zombie panic type deal, thik of ZP as original Doom and think of L4D as better then Half Life 2, there both good but in completely different classes.

How would it work? I thought you have to connect to a L4D ded. server?

Ok I started a friends only lobby, once people join I think I can start a game.

Sephs helpin me figure it out now.

Ok it seems that it searches for a free dedicated server when you start a lobby and then start a game, once it finds one it joins you in, kinda cool actually...

servers seem to go into a general pool of servers that anyone can join to

however there is a way to activate the server browser

maybe create server with password
then browse for it in the server browser
however it does say that you cannot join on an empty server

it is matchmaking only right now and server hosts just get thrown into the pool unless you use that command to browse. The catch is you can't join an empty server. I hope they add in server browsing as well by release.

how would you ever seed the server... the whole pre-game mumbo jumbo is more than a bit clunky right now, basically the game just sends you to whatever server isnt being used, no matter whose server it is (unpassworded of course)
