The scales on the left pane of every post allow you to give reputation to a person. You can give positive or negative reputation.

As your personal reputation is determined by others, your reputation description slowly changes over time. Search the General Discussion (or Sandbox, I don't recall) for discussions we've had about reputation points in the past.
