Am I correct in thinking you can edit a config file or a script etc, so that you can hit a single key to buy all your weps and equipment? I know some CSCZ servers had the option to buy packages such as sniper, rifle, smg etc and you could edit these.

Re: Weapon buying / scripts
You could always go into the autobuy.cfg and change it around to always buy a certain config. It's usually set up to buy armor, good rifle; ammo, or better pistol; ammo.

Re: Weapon buying / scripts
yeah you can do this mate you have to write a new .cgf file but if you just google buy scripts for CS instead of bothering in here you will find a great site like this one http://www.counter-script.net/index.php?id=47 now im not sure how many fo these work for Source but I'm sure you could find them. Don't use anything but the buy scripts because everything else is considered cheating or what some call it "hacking".

Re: Weapon buying / scripts
Root, another tip (which i've just recently found useful) is to have your buyscripts in a seperate file, such as buyscript.cfg, that is executed from your autoexec.cfg file.
That goes for any 'say' commands (in a comms.cfg file) too. Keeps from clogging up your config file and it's easier to keep track of everything. |

Re: Weapon buying / scripts
I use the punkassfraggers CS:Source script and its awesome.
No messing around with going into files, it just adds lots of extra bind options to the regular binds window in "Options", where you'd normally set your Jump, 2nd weapon funct etc. I bound all my buy scripts to the keypad buttons and made a little "map" I can refer to to stick to the desk above the keyboard. |

I thought the rebuy funtion was in the old CS too? AFAIK, rebuy items can be given a priority just like the autobuy items. Can't remember the name of the file to edit right now though. Thanks for all the tips everyones provided. Much appreciated.
