Re: Dealing with, ahem....kids.

Okay, off the Shatner thing back to the original post.

I've actually found that if you want to get rid of a speed hacker, you have to provide him with no kills at all.

They tend to like the fact that they run over people like a train hitting a Geo Metro, I'd suppose.

If you really want to piss them off, get a team of about 6 people in a corner, and cover all areas of it, and take out the speed hacker before he takes anyone at all. If you can deprive him of all his kills together, he will eventually get pissed that he keeps dying.

We all know how it is to die 12 rounds in a row... heh

As far as the idiots in the server when admins are gone. If they have the defensive, then do exactly what the above states. Wait on them. I normally try to keep my team in spawn till the 6 minute mark. This kills time for the rushers and confuses the enemy team... heh...

Re: Dealing with, ahem....kids.

When I'm on the defensive team, and I see someone on my team rushing (who has already been explained the server rules), I'm tempted to just shoot 'em in the back.

Thoughts on this?

I think it's Yer Mom who calls out to the other team when he sees someone rushing. I like that very much!

I consider that an unjustified rules breach. I would kick for it.

I understand the frustration, but I hate to see players pick and choose their rules as they see fit. It just leads to more problems in my experience.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

My hesitation about reacting like this is that the rusher would try to kill me or another teamplayer the next round, and it would degenerate into some sort of team chaos.

I think I like the solution Tempus mentioned above.

Yeah I do that too. I know how much it sucks to be killed by a rusher just as I've saved enough for an M4 :-(

Not to mention an honourary Englishman!

Here's a link btw, where you'll find his cover of Pulp's 'Common People' which is utterly sensational;

Yes, yes, the truth, the holy glowing form, the toupee...it's almost too much to absorb all at once. I know just how you feel, but it'll soon pass, and then you'll be flush with vindication, having known ultimate truth in gut, deep inside:

Picard really IS just a wuss!

Hah! I'm participating in the hi-jacking of my own thread! How Shatnerological!
