From what I understood about VAC 2, is that you won't be banned from using STEAM or playing your game itself, only on servers that require VAC 2. So if there is a server out there that doesn't require VAC 2, you can play your cheating ass there.
I also read that STEAM and VALVE don't care if you catch someone cheating, unless you can get the binaries for the personal cheats and send them to the VAC team.

I say to that: Ok Valve, that makes so much sense its not funny. I believe cheaters should be banned PEROID. Not the slap on the wrist by not being able to play on VAC 2 enabled servers. Should be gone, and left to remember the sting of being a prick bastard cheater who spent money on a game they like to play, and being banned for being a complete retard, when they know they were doing the wrong thing. Granted, some people would get banned that didn't know they had cheats from skin packs and whatnot. I believe those people are few and far between. I would say 99% of those who get banned from VAC 2 enabled servers know what they are doing.

The good thing about VAC 2 is it will keep some of the raging idiots away from the good servers here.

All decent servers will have VAC enabled when its available and reliable, so don't worry.

I haven't kept up with the info on VAC2, so someone fill me in; in what ways is it superior to VAC? Will it actually work this time?

Poetic justice. Making hackers play with other hackers. Hacking seems like it would only be "useful" or effective if you were the only one doing it. With an entire server full of cheaters, hacking would quickly loose its allure.
