Re: C vs D

Son of a.... Life rears it's ugly head again. I've got to head up to College Station this friday after work to help my sister out with some stuff at her house. I'm trying to think of a way around this, but I don't think I'm going to be ale to make it. My weekends are just to random.

Re: C vs D

At this point is there any way we could reschedule the match? I am available pretty much any day after about 6pm.

Glad you can make it to your first loss! FYI, Team C is in the process of recruiting a secret weapon. We may have to sell our soul to satan to seal the deal, but you should definitely be afraid. Very afraid...

Like Wyz said: We're here to make a good showing of teamwork nothing more. You CS nubs know nothing of fear.

Death has a name on the NS server. Her name is "Fade" and we charge her head-on with a smile on our faces.

Bwahahaha!

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

Re: C vs D

Final results: (T, CT)
Round 1: Darwin 6, Beer 3
Round 2: Beer 6, Darwin 4

T side was quite pleasing for me. Darwin communicated very well.

All in all, a rather disappointing CT side. I expected PCS play, and we got rushed by the defense at our spawn at least half the time during our CT half. Considering the purported standards of "the defense protects the objective", finding four people coming towards your spawn at the back alley was kind of surprising. :-/

I concur, I felt the only reason we even lost the CT side was just being out-twitched. I mean, how many times did we make it into the hosties room and run out without any resistance?

Anyways, even with their 1337 Custom Fade, team Darwin comes out victorious!

Re: C vs D

Havana isn't my map. Also darwin has some very good shooters. Also the charging was my idea. I figured it would be a good counter to your slow and methodical pace.

Re: C vs D

The most important thing, and the thing I hope for everyone else involved: I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I was very pleased with our T performance. We played the objective and flanked only when the numbers granted us the privilege. When we did flank, by design, we benefitted handsomely. We quickly and silently pushed with a textbook flank (as a team -- hostages were guarded) to end the last round of game one. Fenix distracted from the window while we worked our way around through the fence route. The lone remaining CT never saw us coming. Fantastic.

As CTs, we experienced the uphill battle we anticipated. While it is the offensive team's obligation to be prepared for rushes, we were shocked to see the distance the Ts regularly put between themselves and the hostages, on both the X and Y axes, at seemingly all points during the rounds.

C had us outtwitched for the entire match. We won the T side as we played the objective solidly with exemplary communication throughout. We lost the CT side as we failed to solidify our tactics and too often allowed the action to outpace our communication.

C several times allowed us to enter the hostages area with little to no resistance. We rescued against them multiple times. That allowance surprised me.

When you pinched Meat Drapes like that it was truly a perfect move. If only you (or even better, HIM!) could've heard me screaming at him to watch his back...

We felt the same way. We never had the whole team away from the hostages, though. Probably similar to how you guys did it, although you only did it over below the pipe, while we did it on the other side of the map twice.

I wish we had more twitchers on our team. Tactics can be taught, but reflexes cannot. You definitely had us beat there. If we weren't able to pick you off one by one, you won. Every time.

Yep, this is something that we won't allow again. We weren't tightening our defense in the "endgame" portion of the rounds. It was very frustrating.

We took our cue from your defense and decided to play a very aggressive defense. I was a bit too aggressive, I think, as I don't think I lived through a single round as a T.

I'm glad to get Havana behind us. I, personally, dislike this map more than any other on the server. Dunno why...

Good game, Darwin. Thanks for making it as fun as it was!

Re: C vs D

In both rounds I hardly got any kills, maybe 2-3 tops. The last round I think I got MAYBE 1 kill.......dissapointing to say the least.. Afterwards I played compound and was 17-5....*sigh* never have it when I need it..

Re: C vs D

Sounds like a lot of fun by everyone!

I just want to make a comment.. We don't want our matches to be about twitch-fests -- we want them to be about tactical play. I was not there, and I don't care about this particular match, but I want to remind everyone going forward that the no boundaries rule does not mean you can ignore the the PCS principles. We should all be trying to set an example for what we want this server to be like without boundaries. Pushing the envelope is not what this server or community is about. When in doubt, err on the side of caution. We're not playing for money, it's about fun.

Let's play this right -- don't turn it into a headache for us all..
