Question Observing when dead...

ok.. I'm not an IT guy...
I have console enabled.. (shift,~)
before the update when dead, I "ghosted" other players...
If I hit CTRL a menu would pop up along the bottom with three different boxes... the right hand box gave me a choice of
First Person
"fly"
or something else...
Those are all gone...
Now I have one menu bar on the left that doesn't offer those options...

I'm hoping this is a setting thing that I'm just too dense to figure out...

Anyone?

Re: Observing when dead...

I haven't experienced that myself yet. This is due to myself not using the Ctrl Menu while spectating. However, I do know that they changed the spectating system around a bit. Now, you can select a players name in the menu and it will switch to that player even if the player has spaces in his/her name. Before, it wouldn't respond. So, perhaps they have changed a few other things as well. I'll check it out and let you know.

Re: Observing when dead...

While speccing players, you can use +jump (spacebar) to cycle through the view modes: first person, free chase, locked chase, and free look.

<valve> isn't it obvious? you use the space bar to cycle through the views. what do you want? documentation for the patch? the same key as before the patch maybe? life would be so much easier without you damn end users</valve>

Doh!.....
Alright... It couldn't have been more simple....
simpering....
I was looking for something harder and more exotic in console...
