Real weapon names

Well I played a round of CS for the first time in months. I haven't really been seen on TG servers since the summer when I stopped playing NS and its years since I stopped playing CS. I am really rusty and finished with a score of -1 but I think you will see me again in the future. I was very suprised to see K2 the Turtle is playing. Now there's a name from the past.

Anyway, /ramble.

Can someone kindly tell me how to get the real weapon names in cs:s? I couldn't find anything helpful on TG, cs-nation on planethl.

Sure Wintermute, no problem. Just send me a PM of which guns specifically, or maybe all of them? Or anything else you may want to know about the guns themselves. I'll let ya know w/e ya want. Also, I remember playing with you, lol -1! Don't worry about that, all of us were like that at one point or another, like you said your just rusty right? Come practice with us lots, we will show you how to pwn!

I'd like this as well. I thought it might be helpful to use the fake names with teammates that don't know the real names, but it's just downright distracting and nobody uses the fake names anyway...

I know there were patches to the old CS that fixed this "bug".

hmm...i remember most of them. Stupid copywrite bs as usual. A patch like that would be really really cool.

Thanks fox but I was really just looking for a link to a file that I can put into my cs:s directory or something. I can remember most of the names and the numbers on the buy menus anyway but it would just be nice to have them properly. Surely this is out there somewhere?

I am also getting graphical tearing problems occassionally (also with HL2) but I will try newer drivers and looking on the steam website to sort that.

Glad to be back to CS. We had some GGs on aztek on sunday. Might be on later tonight.

The recent update overwrites your files so you will need to run the fix again to get the propper weapon names.
