All maps on our server are hosted with fast downloads. The server will serve the map in less than one minute the first time any player plays it.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Ty Wyz... Is there any way to put more text in my signature than this? I had it worked it good, but it was way too long... sounded a lot better though, and I've seen some really long signatures...

Thanks for the new maps! I like hurst. Someone commented that it forces teams to work together, and I agree. We were getting creamed even with some of us working as a unit. Thunder is downloading as I type, so more to follow.

Edit : Thunder looks fantastic, but almost everything at T spawn is white, and the lag meter just hit the moon
Talking to mom, I gather not everyone is affected. If anyone can suggest ways to tweak my GF4 MXSE 64MB or to tweak my CSS settings to counter this.....

Well... thunder went alright... some people liked it, some didn't. I haven't played hurst yet on the server, but I will sooner or later... Now... we vote... everyone who thinks we should keep cs_thunder_ti on the server say Yay... I think a total of... 6 or 7 people saying yay, depending on how many say nay, will keep the map on the server. When you all decide, I'll throw in 2 de_ maps and be finished with that.
I think we should add 2 new cs_ and de_ maps every month or so... keep the rotation fresh... sound good to the server guru's?

Wyz, you sure of that? I couldn't get de_nuke, or whatever it was called, to DL last night. I went off to fileplanet looking for a map pack that might have it, then gave up.

I don't like Thunder that much myself, but it's a change from our regular office, havana, etc cs_ maps. That's what I was focusing on, but apparently, it's just not happening. Those were the only two real cs_ maps worth looking at...
I will continue looking tomorrow at school.
I'll post two de_ maps as well tomorrow that I think are worth trying... I'd like to get my above post working... 2 cs 2 de maps a month... add some variety to the rotation... if that's at all possible...

IMHO cs_thunder_ti is still a long way from being finished. What was done seemed cool, but I wasn't able to get above 35 fps on it, it was very laggy, and it kinda made me dizzy for some reason. My vote would be "Nay".
Forgive me for showing my noob here, but I was recently reading about "Assault" and "VIP" maps. Do we actually have those in CSS, or was that only in 1.6.
