Counter-strike movie
I'm aware that many on you remember that I'm making a movie soon. I'm taking cast members now. This will be done on CS: S and will be a good script on de_747. There is a source map on it, and I will get it to the members that participate. These are the people I need:
Cameraman
Co-scripter
5-7 Male actors
2 Female actors
Several people with good microphones
Has to have CS: S by next week
Must have broadband, and not ping over 150, to ensure smooth movements on the cameraman's side.
If you are a cameraman, you can use CS's demo maker, or FRAPS, or something similar if you would like. You need to have DirectX 8.1 atleast, but preferably DX 9.0
Also, if someone can run us a dedicated server, that would also be nice, but if no body can do it, that's fine. I think I can get one.
Members and non-members allowed, but you need to be part of the TG community.
Who's in on this? I will have a private forum for the members of the movie.
I plan on starting this movie next week, if time and people allow.

How long is this going to take? Is this going to be a multiple days kinda thing, or just a few hours?

Re: Counter-strike movie
i have the ability to do:
script, male acting, and a working mic....i also have ideas for this nice little movie
PS: not to mention that i have prior experience as a minor director for an old ns movie so i can also help enhance the movie, making it more "hollywood" type.Last edited by Nightfire; 03-09-2005 at 03:01 AM.

Counter_Strike Movie? I am SOOOOO down! Let me know what I can do and I will do it.
We are the music makers,
and we are the dreamers of the dream.
Wandering by lone sea breakers,
and sitting by desolate streams.
World losers and world forsakers,
for whom the pale moon gleams.
Yet we are movers and the shakers of the world forever it seems.

Re: Counter-strike movie
I will have to put the voices in manually, so anything that records good quality will work. The camera man only has to record demos, and if that is ALL he does, then we will also need a demo to avi or mpeg converter

Re: Counter-strike movie
For quality I would suggest recording using demos, then export them as a series of .bmp files, and then use a program called pjBmp2Avi (or something like it) to convert them to avi using a lossless codec called huffyuv. Then you can edit them however you like and use Divx or whatever for the final product. Your source files would be fairly large (for 30 minutes of demo your huffyuv avi would likely be several gigs and the .bmp files would take up even more space), but they would also be very high quality and easy for editing programs to decode. If you have the hard drive space available I would definitely do it that way.

Re: Counter-strike movie
I used to play NS on TG a lot. I have been playing CS:S on another server recently, but if you are still in need of a female character with a mic, I volunteer. I hope you remember me Sniper. :P

Wow.. we got some good people wanting in

Kitfox, THANK YOU!!! We really needed a female character.. but expect to be in love with a fellow CT and something happens... Then more scenes roll out :P
Ok. The movie can't be done this week, but I will be putting it together with the script soon. It looks like I gotta be the camera man :P
Guys, if your interested, or already in on this.. please get AOL Instant Messenger. Most of our communication will be through this. If there is some reason you can NOT get this, then get MSN.
Thanks for the interest guys
