Re: Schedule D vs. F -- Week 4

Do we need a sub for Sniper tonight or not? And if we do, does Team F have any objections to us using Dabe?

Re: Schedule D vs. F -- Week 4

I don't think it's appropriate for a player who has played with us twice to be used as a sub against us. In general, I don't think it's appropriate for any sub to be used as a journeyman sub.

That said, I will not be a hard-ass about it, and will accept him in the match. I do not know how my fellow teammates would feel though. If they have no objections, then I guess it will be ok.

Why, it's not like you guys have any teamwork anyways....

BURN!

Hehe, we may have to play a man down then. I don't know of anyone else we can get to sub on such short notice. We'll figure it out.

I can't believe you would not be able to find a sub. But if your only alternative is to play a man down, then by all means, include Dabe in the match.

We don't want any excuses from you after your beating.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

I think Darwin has already proved in this tourny that teamwork accounts for much more than indivdual skill. At this point, I'm not concerned as much with winning as keeping up the great job we've been doing.

We're still going to grind team F-Hack into the ground though. Bwaha!

We did find a sub... Dabe. Hehe. I don't know of anyone else off-hand but anyone could feel free to post if they're interested. We bascially just need a meat-shield for the match. Warm bodies are always welcome. NS players prefered.

Re: Schedule D vs. F -- Week 4

Does this mean that Sniper is definitely not playing?

Uchi may also sub as well, he'd be a great asset. Contact him.

Re: Schedule D vs. F -- Week 4

Not to talk out of turn, but why not create a sub "pool"?

I'm a bit rusty on CS, but if a sub is needed for a team, I wouldn't pass up the chance to jump in and help balance a team.

Maybe have everyone that could sub on a match night stay in TS if playing another game, and get called in, or leave Xfire on?

Re: Schedule D vs. F -- Week 4

I would much rather every team have dedicated extras to "sub". Like we should have a 7 man team for the 6 man tourney. Being with a team, seeing how they comunicate, work, tactics, relations etc makes a difference. I think it helps during the match to be really attached to a team. I kinda wish we had made Dabe our official 7th teamate. He was with us for our first two matches(out of 4 so far). I think of him as part of the team.

That said, a fall back "pool" seems a neccesity almost. Sometimes *2* people can't make it, so even having 7 people on a team would not cover it always... So I see the practicality in it.
