Recording a match

Since mtach games are 6v6 would it be an issue if people speced and recorded demos of the matches?

Re: Recoding a match

I'd say yes, it would be an issue. There might be a super-secret tactic or strategy that one team has that they'd prefer not be shared, particularly with a team that hasn't played the map yet.

Re: Recoding a match

Really? But any 'super' tactic used on a map won't be valid on another.. And it's not as if teams are constantly playing each other over and over.

I'm surprised you are so paranoid.

I'm paranoid about ideas. They're all I've got.

Steal my stuff, but steal ideas, and I'll have your ass nailed to the wall. :P

Re: Recoding a match

CAL also monitors for cheating and such, and given their high level of play and official nature, I buy that completely.

I have no issue demoing my own games and posting them at my leisure, for what it's worth.

Re: Recoding a match

After last eveing match i just thought it would be nice if we had the ability to view other teams matches. Also, it would be fun to watch your own match from the view of the other team.

huh....
I thought the orginal intent was to have all the matches on HLTV for full viewship... but Valve/Steam defused that idea with an update...
