Re: Apologizing
If I've tk'd.. (or when)
If I have any money I offer to buy my dead team mate a weapon... I know how it sucks for Judas or John Galt to have finally been able to buy a scout... only to be stuck w/ a clarion the next round...

Re: Apologizing
Consider your taking John's scout away a community service.

Re: Apologizing
I use voice, and only if there is a pause in the action.
I never really feel bad about the tk's in the middle of a battle, where someone jumped in front of me, or got hit with a bullet passing through an object. Those happen. I still quip a quick "sorry", but move on. The ones that I'm banging my head into the wall about are the stupid tk's. "I'm coming through the doors, don't shoot me!" BAM. ... oops. Or throwing a grenade without giving warning to my teamate who pursues the bouncing pinable to his death. Or if I just get "twitchy" and kill both of the "enemy" in front of me, only to realize one was a friendly. In those cases I apologize profusely through voice comms. And hitting "forgive tk" is almost automatic. The execution option reserved exclusively for intentional tk's, and the other options only if it was a "bang head on wall" repeat offense and it won't hurt the team. |

Re: Apologizing
Fenix, I agree 100%, I sure as hell dont like the fact that there even IS a slay option on the server. Its FF, its a "profesional" enviroment, etc. I doubt there are any intentional TKs that arent handled by admins anywho.

Re: Apologizing
I only use the slay option for when pubbies are doing it repeatedly...not watching their fire at all...i cant remember a time that ive used it on a TGer...though lately ive been using votekicks to get rid of unrulely players(its def worth the money to beable to vote kick yourself)

Re: Apologizing
I always apologize either on the mic or in text immediatly if the opportunity presents itself. I have had the occasion once where I accidently shot Tempus in the head in spawn, total accident and of course it kicked me so I returned and apologized right away.
As far as the options, I bust out a six sided die and roll. If its a TG member, I don't slay them, but I do prefer either forgiving them or another option. If its a pub, I slay them next round without thinking about it. The less amount of thought I have to put into it the more robotic the actions. I rarely slay anyone instantly unless it is someone who is problematic and not listening to server rules and whatnot. I would rather it not be robotic, but randomness and chaos are fun things to play around with ![]()
