Unfortunately, sometimes the server breaks. It also needs restarting when Wyz performs an update, and admins have been known to restart the server to try and cure the huge lag spikes. If a server is down, there is always a reason.

No. For reasons passing understanding, although the map is on your PC, you have to download it anyway.

TG offers no place to download the maps presently. If that's going to happen, I'll let someone else spearhead the effort.

Supporting members may join the full passworded server. I'll defer to Google or steampowered.com's Search those needing instruction.

Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. I don't mean to rant, but Root, if you are referring to the match on Piranesi in which yoursefl, Arf, and I were on T that was on the public server... a couple of people on our team were a little non PCS but it seemed that you were a little irked at your team after dealing with a few numb skulls... I'm starting to feel more and more that the only way to really see PCS gameplay is in tourneys with people who practice together, it's hard to vocalize more complex strategies with random teammates who do not know how you think, I'm not saying to lower your standards or anything, but you're going to have to expect the sort of things like what happened on Piranesi. IDK, maybe I missed some other previous confrontation, but what I saw were minor annoyances from my point of view; yes, some people were amazingly deaf and or stupid yesterday, but that is why the Private Server is here to save the day!

Unfortunately Uchiha, most of the people causing the problems have access to server 2. I doubt they will change their habits just because the server has a password on it

What would be involved in that? What would be gained? I have the maps downloaded by playing on the server. I still have to download them again, even if at the end of office, I do @map cs_office. Valve need to take some programming classes methinks.

Someone just needs to get the map release files and host them on a website somewhere. I'd do it, but I've got to learn to not do too much. Someone else can manage this.

lol. yeah i have to download the map every time whether i've downloaded it before or not. and i have a shifty connection so its not fast for me at all. rarely make it into the server before the first round starts when i have to wait for the download.
