Bomb dropping and passing.

Ok, no blame or names mentioned....

There was a lot of bomb passing and arguing on inferno last night.

This is unacceptable behaviour to have two or three t's arguing over not wanting the bomb. If you spawned with the bomb you do your best to fullfil your objective.

No excuses. Stick with your team and do your job to the best of your ability. If you die and drop the bomb, the first person that can secure it should do so and either finish the job or regroup and form a new plan with the remaining team mates.

I consider spawning with the bomb, getting it to its destination safely and planting it quickly the most important function you can perform for your team on a de map.

While I'm complaining, there was a ridiculous amount of "defensive rushing" and knife shenanigan's on inferno last night as well.

If a situation arises where the person spawning with the bomb has a skill (eg sniper) that will make the task of planting the bomb easier, AND if another team mate is WILLING to take the bomb, thats an entirely different matter. Just dumping the bomb, or dumping it "because I've got a scout" isn't acceptable, in fact it smells of frag monkeying, and we don't need that here. On our servers, the whole point of being a T on a de map is to get the bomb planted.

It was more like sneaky tossing of the bomb onto a certain persons back repeatedly round after round, and then arguing about no one wanting it and it ending up on the ground sometimes.

I agree, if the person has very specialised skills in an area and it has a tactical advantage and a decision is agreed upon it is acceptable.

I find myself passing the bomb if I'm low on health as well; if the team is fixing to rush a choke point and the bomber has less than 20hp there's not much chance that bomb's coming with you unless its on someone else's back.

Do you do this in agreement with the person you are giving the bomb? If you are, then thats fine. If you're not, then you're failing to communicate.

I'll ask around for someone to please come forward to take the bomb.... it's surprising how few will step forward, then I have to resort to singling people out and asking them, honestly people should be more willing it's not as though the CTs have enough time to single you out in the middle of a firefight ><

I don't understand the reticence to take the bomb. The hardest part of that is deciding the strategy. Other than that, what's the big deal? Get to the site, plant the bomb, protect the bomb.

What I can't stand is people saying plant it when they clearly haven't done their job clearning the path.

On Chateau:"Yeah, Mateo, I know there are still some Cts up there guarding the garden at A. Be a good chap and plant the bomb for us, okay?"

WTF? How about you do you damn job and clear it?

I think I know what GhostInTheShell means by "defensive rushing". Me and 2 other ct's heard that there was major trouble at B, we were at A's long area. Well, seeing as to go all the way back through our spawn to get to B from a predictable position just took too much time, so we ran down the long area and up to B.

the reason people are afraid to take the bomb is once they have the bomb it means they must foucus on getting the bomb planted, and as mateo said, the area isn't normaly clear when the bomber goes for the plant, so more often than not the bomber ends up killed as he attampts to plant. meawhile the guy who didn't take the bomb kills the last gt garud in that area, grabs the bomb and plants, so it (yes, the fragmonkey is an it) gets the kill, and complets the team goal possibly getting 3 more points. meanwhile the dead origanl bomber gets nothing but a lost gun, that he probaly didn't even get to use. people are afrad of attempting to plant the bomb because you have to expose yourself to do it, and ot this server, with the huge number of excelent snipers, that normaly means instat death. plus some people have self-esteem issues about how good thier plans are and they don't want to feel guilty if thier team losses while executing thier plan. and i think the sneaky tossing thing was me and jewishninja and i think we both had kind of an aggrement on whoever ended up with the bomb last had to deal with it. not very pcs but no one was making more of a plan than go a or go b so i really don't feel guilty.

in that paticular instance, our standards were so low it was like the final world champinship face off of limbo.and we were on the new inferno which just makes you want to play around with the bells and all the flowerpots and the major lag coming form every he nade to go off.
