Anyone know why Steam uses so much memory? I find it very annoying that a tsr for a game is the biggest memory hog on my system.

Steam is using over 40 megs of memory for me right now. Yeah, that's pretty bad.

TSR? lol, you are dating yourself (unless your are running steam with DOS 5)

I still refer to anything sitting in my little "system tray" as a TSR, too!

Thank you. I knew I wasn't the only old-timer here. I guess daemon would be more appropriate now-a-days.
