I think that a tourney would be good Root. I would really like to see how pcs does up against maybe anouther PCS group if there is one, or even just a clan. You would have to let everyone who wanted to play play though or else I dont think alot of people would come. Everyone I mean that can get one server 2 or that is a part of TG.
Opening server 2 will get more people but if you do that youll get all the pubbies instead of the people who know PCS. Also some people are busy and I think that also has something to do with it, or if your like me my computers down again and I wont be able to play intill I get it working again. You mean a one off match? That's already been discussed elsewhere. Ongoing competition might be hard to sustain, because there are few communities that game in a similar way to us, and the BF2 epedemic is pretty widespread.

Only the best PCS players (not necessarily the best skilled players) would be taking part in any officially organised match with another community. I won't be responsible for TG getting a bad reputation with other gamers by fielding a team of fragmonkeys who think they understand PCS.

Server 2 isn't going to be opened up. I've had discussions with Apophis, the admin team, and the CS development team about server 2, and when the time is appropriate, I will make a formal announcement.

How about some kind of a quiz.......or maybe start some tactical discuusions with......what would you do in this situation.

I think alot of posters (like myself) need some encouragement, and starting a thread off with a pic of a situation (by some of you frequent posters) might spawn some interesting discussions.

The password should also be changed more frequent so that people have to keep reffering back to the SOps....

Do you mean this as a way of identifying PCS players? If so, I can certainly see where you're coming from, but it's overkill. When I joined TG, all we had to go on were the SOP's. A whole bunch of us were regarded as PCS players within a short time. There are plenty of good examples on the servers, in the form of PCS players who do know PCS, rather than those who think they do.

The CS development team includes all the admins, so when I refer to the dev team in future, the reader may assume that all admins are included. The team is currently looking at proposals which will, amongst other things, make it a lot easier for players to be certain of who the good examples are. A bit vague? Yes, but until the plans are finalised and Apophis green lights them, it would be pointless to give any details.
