Uh oh guys, I think sampson is out of it. That looked like a pretty hard smack against the wall!

But really, I would love to find out who really gave it out to them. I would simply adore seeing them banned from here and the servers. It is only too unfortunate that someone in this community would go and do something like that.

Not to sound sarcastic but why don't you just change the password. Most people with an IQ on par with a dumb monkey can figure out the password, without having to fully read or understand the SOPs. PM the new password it to the people that play Server 2 (the welcome ones), then if someone else wants to join they can simply ask an ADMIN. This would save people like 9V from having to question unrecognized players if they are forum members (although it is fun to watch him grill them!!

). Or, make it a STEAM ID allowable server, only certain STEAM IDs can join, regardless of the screen name they are using.
Either way you are basically making an invitation only style server for pure PCS players. Basically make server 2 a privilege and something you must earn the right to play on.

The idea of having it password protected and that you have to hunt for it a bit (even if it does require the brain of a dumb monkey..) was so that it wouldn't be tooo exclusive, and still be open to those who took the time to work out that dumb monkey puzzle.

It's not working as well as hoped, i think is obvious, so we are discussing alternatives. It's a tricky balance though, making sure that Server 2 is pure PCS, without limiting those who would like to play a more intensive PCS game than they find on Server 1.

Also, i have to say that the mechanics of reserved server slots and password protection too is no easy business, and Wyzcrak is doing everything in his power to implement a system that covers all the bases that we're looking for. Unfortunately, with Root having computer problems recently, he has his hands full trying to cope with all of our demands as well as doing the magnificent job(s) he always does for TG.

Dont' worry, we will get there. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow....but soon... (and for the rest of your life...)
