PCS Training Session: Tuesday 9/20

There will be a PCS training session tonight, Tuesday, September 20, at 9:30 EDT, on server 2.

A little later this time, so we can be sure everyone can attend.

This time, we will cover the following:

Basic PCS Refresher: It's the objective, stupid.

Planning and Communication: How not to spam comms for fun and profit.

Playing tactically: You have 7 minutes, go ahead and use them!

Basics of T-admining: You've warned, and they still don't listen: now what?

PCS Q & A: Ask the admins

That should be about an hour and a half, I guess.

Maps will be cs_italy and de_aaa. Make sure you have these maps loaded.

Everyone should be on teamspeak 15 minutes before the training session begins.
Bind three channels: one for the HL2 common channel, one for CT, another for T.

Not having a mic is not an issue, so long as you can listen and respond via ingame chat.

I can make it for the first 55 minutes. But then I have to leave because they recheduled my intermural football game to be at 10p.m. Central and I have to be there at 9:30p.m. for warm up.

Ok. If we have mostly SMs, we should be able to keep it brief.

Do you have to have teamspeak, does teamspeak cost money, and can I just use the CS:S ingame voice chat?

Also, is that 8:30 CDT?

Also, can someone tell me how to get teamspeak, the usernames, passwords, etc. I really want to get into this,but I wanna do it the right way.

I do believe there is, but that thread is kind of hard to find. If you just put in the IP from the servers list it won't work.

Even if that is true though, it only took me, maybe, 10 minutes. I'll be there tonight.

I'm not going to bother with getting it, too much other stuff to do. I might get around to it some time, but certainly not now.

Honestly, Azz, I don't know how I could do a training session without it.

You need to be able to speak to everyone at the same time, clearly, and ingame comms just don't cut it.

If you have a better idea let's hear it, but for now, Teamspeak is necessary.

it's a 30 second download. maybe a minute if you have 56k. how is that a hassle or inconvenience??

Takes no time to download, install, and setup. If your a nub with computers it won't take more then 15 minutes to download, install, and be on the Tactical Gamer teamspeak server.
