Re: Captains Game Tonight

The first two captains games were on Havana. I was also captain. I also won. I ALSO noticed that either when the map changes or the teams switch, because the nature of the game makes it harder for people than in NS, at least half the people leave. My suggestion would be to have 12 rounds on 1 map with no team changes. I may also make it, but I do not know.

I'll be there, but I might have to leave partway through. We'll see.

Re: Captains Game Tonight

Game win. Results? Team Kark 12 - Team Vulcan... I forgot. 3?

We had some GREAT rounds on Italy. Unbelievable. Rincewind killed the last T when the timer said 00:00. Or both teams just surprise the heck out of eachother like when in Saving Private Ryan they knock the wall down and see the germans eating. Or one team would do a really obscure plan that the other would fall right into the middle of somehow, against all probability.

GG.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot. Beyond picking teams, kicking ass, and taking names (its a joke), I actually didnt do too much. It was mainly Azzman and Snoopy (while he wasnt being switched to the other team :P).

Good games, it came down to the last man on many rounds. Just remember it's all in good learning, don't get to frustrated or mad, just bounce back.

Re: Captains Game Tonight

Sorry i had to miss it guys. I was in the server but my latency hit 996 thanks to my college internet so I couldn't play. Hopefully we can do this again and I can actually play this time.

Re: Captains Game Tonight

Amazing play. Rince's accomplishment was INCREDIBLE. Four minutes, 1v5... 1 second, 1v1... 0 seconds, he wins.

Great teamwork for the games. We should really try to do this more often.

...just sucked when CS:S decided to crash, and Steam refused to let me back on. Blah...

Re: Captains Game Tonight

I was just flat out terrible all night long.

Not that this has anything to do with the captains game but I played dust2 earlier for the first time since the update only to learn everything basically looks invisible until you get closer to it, etc. I really don't know how to explain it but the more and more I play the more and more I notice things wrong and just plain screwed up. It's making me not want to play the game anymore to be honest.

In any case, good games tonight. Hopefully next time (if there is one), I'll be a little more on my game and contribute to the team.

Anyway we had some GREAT plans going on tonight. That one round on Italy when I and Kark where the last two CTs alive, I'm not sure if our crazy plan was relaid to you Ts but that was probably one of the best accomplishments I've ever had involving PCS play.

Re: Captains Game Tonight

Last night was great. Easily one of the most memorable gaming sessions I've had. That 1v5 win I had was more luck than anything; our initial run at the house softened everyone up for killing... I felt bad for making my team suffer through 4 minutes of watching me play I would have felt even worse if I hadn't pulled it together in the literal last second. Anyway, Thanks to the other team for being good sports!

Sorry I missed it guys. I thought I might be able to get over, but kept having disruptive pubs show up on server 1. I'll try to get there next time.

Re: Captains Game Tonight

Is there any chance of making this a weekly event? Is there the player interest? Is there the admin interest? Is it doable? Thoughts and opinions from all would be good.

It's absolutely doable. Every game on server 2 should pretty much be a captains game anyway. That's the standard that play should be at.
