Talking WOW, thx for the lessons...

I never played CS before, well I did visit it for about 15 minutes when the mod for HL1 first came out, I always thought it was a run and gun, who is better and faster wins type shooter, as compared to games like GR and OFP...

Well joined the TG CS server for the first time today, and had a blast, even thou I had no clue what I was doing or where I was going... was amazed at the team work involved in this "run and gun", I definitely will be revisiting it again.

Thx for the game/lessons.

And now you know why I'm on the CS:S server most nights.

We play the game differently here.

The thing I like about Professional Counter Strike (PCS) is that you can be the best twitcher in the world, and still get a loss for failing to commuicate and achieve the objective.

Welcome, Magnum!

Welcome! Good to know we have a new member. Make sure and (as you probably already know) read the SOP's and have a good time getting shot in the face!

You don't get out of the CS:S forums much, do you?

Re: WOW, thx for the lessons...

I just bought the HL2 silver so i could get DOD:S with the package. Never played CS before at all and just spectated a match here. Wow that looks tense! Can't wait to jump in. Might spectate a few more matches and mess around when the server is a out of prime time to get a feel for everything.

Re: WOW, thx for the lessons...

it sucks that i acutally bought the Collectors retail edition for $80 buckaroos and it dosent come with DoD:S and that $80 would buy the GOLD edition from steam. i feel so ripped off .

Re: WOW, thx for the lessons...

Glad to see you liked it... We play a different game than most servers we try to keep the game the way it was meant to be played.

Not really... Is that a bad thing?

Only game I play on TG is CS:S, and once every month or so I get in a few rounds of BF2 and get completely owned.

Re: WOW, thx for the lessons...

The community is really supportive I've found, and the gameplay is great. The tactics, the planning... I really enjoy being able to just listen and hear people, and that a headshot will kill somebody just like that (I have a small loathing for Halo 2 cause of the opposite). The more you play the more you will like it, I believe.

Re: WOW, thx for the lessons...

I read alot of forums, and i encourage everyone to check out what's going on at TG outside of the CS forums.

Yes, it is.

For example: Magnum50 is a serious SIM fanatic, he writes for SimHQ, and occassionally graces us with a piece as well. He's also one of us: a straight up tactical player.

You'd know all this...if you read the other forums as well. Know who the other gamers are here, so if they do join our server, they get treated right.

CS:S is not a little insular community here: it is tactical gamer's foundation.

Re: WOW, thx for the lessons...

I knew he wasn't new, and I knew he was a tactical player. I guess if it *is* so important, I can check the general forums and maybe a few others on occasion. Sorry to have offended .
