Re: New Server 1 Policies
I am going to decide whether to study for sociology or read this thread.
In a sense, both of of these options will allow me to pass the test because of the detailed points made in the posts, and how they relate to general society. I think I should study, but can someone make sure this thread doesn't get deleted, I REALLY want to read the WHOLE thing, and share my opinion with all of you. So, lets not let this thread get closed or deleted by making posts that are stupid. Lets keep it mature conversation.

What I was suggesting by the 2 PCS players left idea was the question of would you as admins be more welcoming/tolerant/understanding/helpful/patient/consistent and fair/personal/accommodating of shortcomings to new players in training them to be PCS players especially if (hypothetically) there was a great demand for new players. The things I've brought up or commented on was never to argue against or question PCS, but to understand issues around how new players are looked at, their perspective, and how they are treated and the possible impacts from those issues. ----------- OK Wyzcrak I give in... Executive summary histograph style to date Started by examining the: 1) Basic problems and benefits of having an open face "pub" server 2) Admin policy/enforcement consistency, T-admins, and whitelist analysis Evolved into: 3) Clarification of "down with" and Ice Cube ![]() 4) Analysis of the "curtain" that seperates admins and players 5) Analysis of power inequality (admin vs. player), problems that arise from it, and possible solutions to minimize those problems. 6) Analysis of player motivation (or lack thereof) 7) Analysis of player training problems, possible solutions, and factors to consider in regard to solutions 8) Problems with new players and possible attitude/motivation factors that contribute 9) Approaches to enforcing rules and problems that may arise in enforcement due to consistency/equalities discrepancies 10) Re-examination of rule enforcement and considerations of new players |

Re: New Server 1 Policies
That's not an executive summary. That's a table of contents. But a sincere thank you to you all the same.

Re: New Server 1 Policies
Yeah, you're right. I thought I could get it past you. I would go back and just edit it to say table of contents, but I wanted to get your name in there somehow and without the executive summary link, I wouldn't be able to.
