Cool Re: CTModelPack

Please review the standards that this community has for posting here...

Beyond that...The skins are all pretty and shiny to look at; like in a store window at the mall maybe. Beyond that, they are mostly dark and pretty much unplayable. Sorry this community doesn't take very well to outside opinions (see last sentence).

I like playing here...as I have several other "mature-type" servers in the past. I understand there is a long history at TG. I have no want to do anything other than occasionally play here and get along. Sorry that I don't bow down to the elder statesmen here and pussyfoot around opinions like some others, but hey...opinions are like *******s right?

If you do like playing here, you would work a little harder at getting along. Your first few posts are NOT what we're looking for here at TacticalGamer. But, hey, pub players are like, well, you know, right?

We're now going to be looking toward releasing some new Counter-Strike: Source content we've been working on. The next two maps coming will be updated versions of de_nuke and cs_militia, along with a number of new player models for both sides. We'll give everyone a sneak peek at Nuke and some of the new models next week.
'Number of new player models for both sides'...perhaps this will be even better!

At first, I had a troubling time with the new skins, but so long as you know where your team is and what they are doing (ie. communication), you shouldn't have any FF issues. I know I haven't.

I agree with Vulcan on the quality on they way they look, they are superb. My only concern/suggestion that I have would be to have several sets of skins that are not so close in color schemes. What are the possibilities of giving several choices that are not so close in color? I understand the concept that you have to recognize what you shoot, but I have seen a new tactic pop up on the server: Rush as fast as possible, blend in, and then exploit the fact that you look similar and cause major havoc on any plans that are being executed, hence not following the PCS concept.
The fact that there is exponentially (big word) more TKing going on goes to the fact that people need to use their Radar a bit more. This is actually a good thing, it causes your teammates to sit still and stay put instead of running around like fools, which adds to the PCS style game play. It does however always lead to an advantage to the assaulting team, because it causes you to hesitate a split second and wait for an ID to come up on your screen with the player’s name. On a sever like this with the skill level well above par as compared to a death match server, this will definitely result in the person waiting to recognize their foe resulting in their death.
I am impressed with the ability to choose the camo based on the situation though. I think it adds a level of detail that can make this server even better.

Keep up the good work!!!

Re: CTModelPack

I think the urban camo may be one of those skins, and the armored tactical being very similar. They are both very dark. So now is the choice of which one to loose. I'll see if i can find an alternative to the urban, since i really don't think it fits urban so much.

Re: CTModelPack

Funny, the skins look great to me.

I have no shiny'ness, and no wrinkle.

I wonder what the people who are posting about this problem have for directx settings and video settings. I'm using the default, plain install settings for gamma etc. I think at 1024 x 768.
