Steam forgetting password

I have steam set up to remember my password so that I can use offline mode. Every now and again though, it seems to forget and I have to enter it manually. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know how to prevent it?

Defragged my HD last night, and Steam even forgot that CS:S was installed for a minute. Very strange.

Ya. Same thing happened to me Mateo. I just kept trying to open CSS and it finally worked.

Re: Steam forgetting password

oddly enough, I sometimes have problems where steam tells me it has to update, then it spends like half a second updating and goes to loading normally. In fact, yesterday, my system told me I had to install CS:S to run it, and tried to install itself till it realized it was already there, then it opened normally.

Re: Steam forgetting password

Ive never experienced the password thing but sometimes when I try to open CS:S it says its not installed and it says something like "Please wait while CSS is installed" the bar gets like half-way done and then it lets me get on.

Re: Steam forgetting password

I have two machines set up with a KVM, using one for forums and email and the other for gaming. Lets me check forums while waiting for a map to load. I have Steam on both and the 2nd one to boot will whine for a password.

If you're using the same steam account on both, that will be because the last to boot is finding the account already connected.
