I just made one for Big C, but its half ameg in size due to its huge frame amount.. cant find a place tohost it lol

Sorry to spoil the fun, but as some of you know this thread, Signature Limitations, should be read before choosing a sig.

In resposnse to questions posed as to why this rule needs to be enforced I have created a quick logical reasoning to enlighten everyone.

1) When other viewers attempt to access a thread with a large number of posts by people with sigs of 50kb or greater the load time for each thread will increase dramatically. It is not very noticeable when using high speed internet, but when using dialup, as I am now, it takes about 10 minutes to load a thread.
2)Every thread has to load the format of the thread, the actual data of the posts, the images of avatars (24.4 kb per post) and the sigs of the people posting (50kb per post). Then if everyone has large sigs, the load time of every thread would be tremendous. By setting the maximum size of sigs to 50kb, and the avatars to 24.4 kb, and the # of posts per page to 15, Apo and the management can allow viewers to surf the site with quick page loads and a better viewing experience.
3)For example, view the thread concerning sigs, then find another thread in the the forum that you, or anyone with a large sig file size, didn't post in and compare the load times. With high speed internet the difference might be minute, but with 500kbps or slower the difference can be measured in minutes. So, there you have it. Logical reasoning packed into a tiny little package to explain the reason for smaller file size enforcement.
