It is incredibly relieving to read intelligent, mature discussion after the crap at the Steam forums. Thank you all for that.
Welcome to our corner of the net friend. We're glad to have someone with your talents with us.

The mod looks pretty interesting and I'd like to do more testing with it.

Question though, are you able to add more items to buy? You mention being able to adjust clip size and I wonder if it would be possible to add the option to buy an extended clip for some weapons.

Thanks again for all your hard work!

    Yup, it was me :P

Glad to see you made your way over here, I had a feeling you'd find it much more inviting.

I had a feeling I might be wrong about the run speeds, I wasn't terribly sure which one was right.

Also, Autosnipers were already banned, so don't feel like your mod negatively affected anything- awps were out too, but, with the damage modifcation, I think they might be under consideration now.

Welcome, some guy. Thanks for your efforts with this. I'll be trialling it on the server, at which point I'll post feedback here and in the steam forum. I'm not impressed with the reaction you got there, but neither am I surprised. What *was* surprising (perhaps attrocious is the correct word), was the reaction of the only moderator to post a comment. That kind of blind loyalty to valve achieves nothing.

...Wait. I thought we were already running it? The Mac10 seemed like it was firing faster.

...No wonder noone else noticed it.

I never thought about adding something like extended clips. I tried adding new weapons, I changed everything in every file I could think of, but it didn't work. Extended clips... hmmm... I can't think of a way to do it, but I'll look into it. I'm not sure I would though, because the first thing I tested was giving the AK a 50 round mag, and I also later tried with a few other guns, and they behave somewhat oddly (recoil-wise) if fired for a long time. The recoil patterns aren't really designed for going past the default magazine sizes. Although... I need to try out the M249 and P90, to see if they have substantially different patterns. I hadn't thought about it.

Glad to see you made your way over here, I had a feeling you'd find it much more inviting.
    Thanks! I do.

Haha . The easiest way to check (besides using the autosnipers) is to buy the P228. If it carries 120 rounds of extra ammo, instead of 52, the mod is installed.

I was under the impression that Valve has hard-coded the majority of CS:S mechanics: You won't be able to add content without the source code. Things like the RPG and Zombie mods are very clever script workarounds.

This is why we havn't seen things like a CTF mod, Riot shield, etc.

I know you allready listed what you can change... but.. by any chance... can you change accuracy while in the air to something close to... zero?

That would single handedly put an end to any problems the server has with crack jumping.

    I know.

Actually, if you look through the files you can look through, they seem to have all the stuff for the Riot Shield. The weapon scripts have a "usable with Shield" toggle too. They probably would only have to change a few lines of hidden code and add the models to implement the Riot shield again.

I really don't think so, sorry.

    And thanks.

Also, with the Mac-10, because of it's extremely high ROF, possibly add a larger magazine? 'Cause any movie you see, any gangs you see using a mac, they're not using 30 round clips because of that reason. It just goes too fast.

I don't really see the point of larger magazine (none of the guns in CS use clips) sizes. 30 rounds in an M4 is good for most rounds, and being smart about when to reload is one of the only tactical things about the game.

That, I think, would make it too good. Also, I was thinking more about extended mags, and this wouldn't be reflected in the weapon model, which is kind of dumb. I think Raven Shield is like that and it bugs the crap out of me (but so does a lot about Raven Shield).

Most guns now don't use clips, but the average person doesn't know they're called magazines. This actually reminded me though, that CS isn't realistic in terms of magazines because it doesn't track them. You can reload at half-mag forever and never run out of full mags. I wish I could change that.

That would be an awesome change to the game. I don't know of any game that currently implements this.

    Day of Defeat: Source.

Instead of having the number of bullets remaining in reserver for your tommy gun, you have a number of magazines remaining. Also, the ammo counter is pictorial- you see how full your magazine is in a cross-section.
