Re: Faces of TG CS:S
The point is that those that sell out tend to make more money for the publishers, who in this state of the industry are required if artists want to get their songs out in the world. Then the publishers play pick and choose between people who give no thought to selling out and the real artists. Since the former equals more money, they often opt for that choice.
This has a negative effect on those that actually want to get their music out, since they get completely drowned out. Of course the internet improves quite a few things, and will continue to do so. Right now a very similar thing is happening to the games and movies industry. |

Re: Faces of TG CS:S
OFF TOPIC! Why is Tempus a "Jewel in the rough", but he has more green circles than anyone else I've seen?
EDIT: and what generic category do I fall in for listening mainly to Tool, The Life Aquatic soundtrack, game soundtracks from R:TW, Gish, V:TH:B, and Deus Ex? |

You listen to soundtracks and TOOL. Tool are good though.

Re: Faces of TG CS:S
And on a similar note, my top 5 albums of all time would have to look like this:
1. NIN - The Fragile 2. The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium 3. Dredg - El Cielo 4. Cryptopsy - None So Vile 5. ...and Oceans - The Symmetry of I, The Circle of O The only thing subject to change is El Cielo being replaced with Necrophagist - Onset of Putrefaction and switching places with De-Loused. That takes a very specific mood for me though. |

Classic stuff, not mallgoth, but you put it less, in your estimation, than Fragile, which was inferior in every way. Take it as a threat, get your panties in a bunch, whatever, but I think that anyone that counts themselves amongst the NIN faithful wouldn't let PHM score so low. |

Re: Faces of TG CS:S
8.8 isn't low. It's high. It's VERY high. The Fragile was just had better songwriting, it simply did. PHM wasn't bad by any means and I didn't say it was. I said I don't like it as much.
Hell, it's inferior to each album I listed on that top 5 list too. |
