Those of you experiencing lag when dying/round ending.

Make sure you have set your config.cfg to be writable instead of read only. There are some issues when steam can't update the config. You may also need to change a setting for it actually update. Worst case is you remove it and let a new be created.

That is all.

Re: Those of you experiencing lag when dying/round ending.

I experienced this lag before I set my config.cfg to read only. And yes, I want it read only as otherwise I would have to reset (re-unset?) cl_restrict_server_commands every time I played (dumb Valve making it reset!), and thus would also have to type !bvon every time I play. However, I have learned to live with it, so even if this is the cause, I have no problems with leaving it as read only.

Automatically... hence "auto" + "exec". It's named such so that the Windows 95 Powerusers feel comfortable in CS:S.

you must create a new .txt file and name it autoexec.cfg and put it in the cfg folder. then just put whatever you want to run everytime you connect
