Ok.. you need photoshop or paintshop pro.

in either open the image then use the "background eraser tool" or the "magic wand tool" to choose the background color you want to remove. then just erase the background using either one of those tools. Then follow the transparencie instructions and save it as a .tga 32 bit and there ya go just import and your done.

Sorry if I offended you, but to me your image just looked like one brush in photoshop or gimp dragged out in a person shape, granted i havent examined it blown up but the avatars are too small for my bad eyesight to pick up on very well.

either way, im still gonna push sprayr on all the pple who use PS (guess gimp is easier), because unless yuou figure out he alpha layer step(im an idiot), my way is still faster... even if you just wat to make one or two sprays. Now im done with this post, unless ihave to apologise again.

PS. HF you were prolly kidding i think but the amount of substance in my system that is illegal for a person your age makes me stupid so i cant tell.
Still, if i offended you, im sorry, i'm serial..

....editing again for another 2 cents.... you guys are gonna be rich
it would really be nice if the starter of the thread sould show up and at least say..."thank you guys for helping me on the most difficult problem ever, ever...." or at least say something acknowledging our thought and effort to answer your question :P

pffffft..... editing because i didnt read hogans before i wrote mine
Still often comes the fact that the edges of your pic will be blended with the old background(more so after you have flattened than when already done in a normal pic). so this still gives you unasthetic looking edges.... I am bit of a prick when it comes to my crappy pictures so this is a big deal to me

One more edit.
just to say "on the record" that i will not be editing this post anymore, period"."

Re: Integrating custom sprays into CS:S

Just kidding, m0h3k4n. All it was was a stick figure, then a bunch of smudge strokes in the gimp. No hard feelings here.

Those edges are easily edited by editing the alpha channel. All you need to do is use black and trim down where the old background shows up and that will wipe it out. takes time but it works.

Normal channel image

alpha channel image (the one you edit to remove the ghosting)
