I think the server should restrict grenade skins.. I have Kirby ones, and they're so amazingly cheap. I will admit, highly entertaining tossing a Kirby and watching him explode, but at the same time, he makes noise, and is pink.. I'd get rid of it if I knew how to.

If you ever want to return to *completely* vanilla content, erase the materials/, models/, sounds/, and scripts/ folders in the /cstrike/ directory. Note that you'll need to download all the custom content from the server again aside from maps. Alternately, you can hunt down all the files associated with Kirby by erasing him from one spot and checking the console's error messages to find the other files referring to him.

I used to have my game decked out with custom models for all my weapons, nades, gloves, hud and gui. I decided to take all of it off recently because it brought my FPS down a bit and I found I played better with just the standard stuff.

For some reason my new MP5 sounds give me a better idea of the weapon's effective uses; I do a lot better with it now.

Also, SG pointed me to a really badass Desert Eagle skin. It's Dirty Harry's S&W revolver.

I have skins for almost every item. Having new skins and sounds really makes me use different guns more often. Brings back an interest in something that i didnt like before. May be a bad thing. The guns arent any better. But, you will see me using dualies a lot more often than before (which was never, cause stock ones suck arse.) Also, i know myself and ednos use skins for a few guns that add higher textures and better animations for certain guns. It would take me hours to post all of the skins i use, if i could, which i cant, cause my computer is getting overhauled and im at my parents house at the moment. Anyway, weapon skins FTW.

yes, i have weapon skins for every gun in the game, some arnt that good and i keep updating them (cant find a really good sg552 skin) while others are simply amazing. I love me ump45 skin and is the only reason i use the gun, if i had standard skin i would never use it, and same thing as ednos said that it adds the feeling of more power to the gun, and i think it actually helps me out.

Theres this auto shotty skin that glitches and you dont have to reload it but it makes it look like ur reloadin but ur really not

I had a realism pack but it was more difficult to distinguish the sounds of the guns and there reloads so I ditched the form for function.
