Re: A plea for ribbon nominations

Poppy cock, the reason that more people are not getting noticed is because other people are selfish. Over half the players that are nominated are done so by the admins here. Your saying you don't see any people getting awarded ribbons who deserve them, WELL NOMINATE THEM THEN. As for getting a hostage ribbon based on the amount of award points you have, I don't agree the ribbon is for doing an exstanding job at rescuing the hostages, something that makes the people gasp and cheer not just for picking up a few lose hostages over and over which amounts to points (that is your standard objective). People, all you who complain you don't get any ribbons yourself have you ever thought to nominate others. No you should not nominate people just to get a nomination in return from your mate, however with more nominations means more ribbons. This will lead to more people getting into the ribbon giving spirit. Then once nomination are flying all over the place because people recognise others getting them, then maybe people will also see your talent and then maybe you'll also be awarded a ribbon or two. |

Re: A plea for ribbon nominations
Exactly. It pays forward.
As far as the point system, that would have to be discussed in the proper place. It's just disheartening to see so many good deeds remain unnoticed with such a big player base. It's frustrating and doesn't bode well that the last ribbon we handed out was at the beginning of March. |

Acturly everyone who played in the Tourney got a ribbon, it's just because the ribbons system is not working at the mo that you can not see those who got the ribbons (I added mine manauly if you were wondering). Also as for winners of the tournement well there is not a ribbon for winning it but some sort of valourous unit would have been appropriate I would have thought. However if the team captain does not nominate his team for such a ribbon how would any one else know if the team was working well together. Far to often people nominate people for the wrong ribbons or do not give any information about the candidate. There are very clear guidelines to nominating just pick a relevant ribbon and follow them, simple. For instance saying that some guy deserves the Distinguished Conduct ribbon because he followed his objective once is not going to get him a ribbon. However he might be deserving of one of the specalist ribbons such as bomb defusal or hostage rescue. |

I do believe shadowolf nominated us, but I can't be positive. He said he did at least. |

I'd like to add that all nominations are saved. If we see the same people nominating each other all the time then we will investigate it. Any abuse of the system will be dealt with.
