Posted it here instead of the map review cause it seems to be more tactics then map review
According to someone.. forget who.. this was "in a bombsite" I was a terrorist, had barely moved forward while we figured out the plan.

I know this map is new but.... since it is small, we might need to talk about some practical limits to what is guarding the bombsite
further clarification

So the question is:
was this a bit far for CTs to be located, or did I miss something about this map? Serious question, no sarcasm. I ask because of the force of the response that this was not too far forward. Not trying to attack anyone's view, just wanting discussion."Sympathy means a lot, coming from Kulmar. I didn't think it was possible.

Re: de_hydrofire_b
CTs most likely had never played the map before and didnt know how far up he was its a new map not many people know it yet. But yea thats much too far they shouldnt cross the bridge.

Re: de_hydrofire_b
My opinion is why would you ever need to go further than the N in location (your pic) to guard the bombsites, even when switching from site to site the mid and the spawn route are the quickestfor the CT's why would you go the long way, unless kill hunting!

Re: de_hydrofire_b
I dont think the maps too small I played it 2 times onece on each side and its pretty solid thier are 3 ways into each site A is more open than B but B has a underground tunnel I like the map so far.

Re: de_hydrofire_b
chalk it up to learning the map. It happens sometimes, It's entirely possible to organize with the players in a gentleman's agreement to explore the map on the first round.

Re: de_hydrofire_b
That was my basic thought, but a couple were pretty insistant... I guess I was also just tired. I haven't slept much in the last week.
a) packing to move to new house (close on nov 12)
b) staining deck and working on yard of this house for selling purposes...
I think I'm averaging about 4 hours a night. Which is way to low for my looser lazy self."Sympathy means a lot, coming from Kulmar. I didn't think it was possible.

Re: de_hydrofire_b
well congrats on closing on yor house!!! especially in this market, you shoulda got one hell of a deal, (at least yo do in FL!!!) but on the post, why is it not understood that IF it is a new map and IF no one agreess to the gentalmeans agreement on the wlakthough, plus no admin on to help restart the map, then why dont you learn the map like your supposed to, FROM THE BOMB SITES OUT!!!!
why on earth would you go looking for kills especially on a new map. the defense's role is to GARD the bomb site, PERIOD!! why would you not spread your team out and watch "choke-points" into the site??? as sky said, there were what, three entrences to each site, so that means if they wre playing with a full team, three at each site and one to rotate in mid, every entrence should have been covered correct??? so then there should have been no reason why ANY CT should have been more than 25 FEET from the bomb site!!!
that is my two cents since i was not present for the situation at hand nor do i know the back story except for what sky wrote!
