Discussion: Counter-Strike Source / Counter-Strike - Tactics Discussion - captains match opinion - I just played my first captains match as captain and im not to sure about
I just played my first captains match as captain and im not to sure about the job i did. Is it wrong that i wanted to ask advice and opinions of the people on my squad? I i understand that as captain it is my responsibility to make the strategic calls of where to place my team, but also i believe that a good leader takes advice and input from his squad for a more affective approach. I'm not suggesting that the captain lets the team push him around, only that he finds strengths and puts them to use through the input of his team where needed. I just started playing again about a week ago and concede that there are players on the server that are far better than i am at this point in time. I would like to here some input on weather or not it would be proper to take tactical advise from some of you that are more knowledgeable than I, should I wind up being captain again in the future.
"Well Jayne, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle."
Nothing wrong with that at all. Though you have to make final decisions, that's the only thing you can't just skirt on. A veteran captain will place people in spots according to skill use their strengths as best they can.
Until you get up to that level you have to learn everyone's strength's and weakness's.

you pretty much said it all here. You had some talented people pn your team and even when they went down, you were still able to put up a good fight. This was a great match for you and seemed like you did a good job. Thanks for stepping up and volunteering to be a captain! hope to see you do it again in the future.
For your first time, I think you did a very well job. Just work on setting up those spots and learning your players PROS/CONS and use that towards your advantage. Keep trying you're on a good road ahead.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
Things usually unfold faster than...
