Sergeants Tips

My motto: Shoot less, hit more.

Weapons:

M4 Maverick(Colt): This weapon is VERY accurate while crouching. Use this weapon while you crouch and you get at least 5 shots places near center of the crosshairs. You can headshot someone across cs_compound before the person can shoot you with their scout. If you stand and shoot this weapon, do not expect that good of accuracy, it can still land some good shots, but your best bet is to crouch.

AK: First few shots are very accurate and powerful standing or crouching. Aim at the enemies neck and fire at least 2 or 3 shots. After 4 or 5 shots the bullets will go up drasticaly. If you aim at someone's chest and shoot 5 bullets 1 is quite possible to go into the head. If you are fighting someone at a distance, usually you can crouch and let the crosshair shrink, while the opponent is still shooting bursts, then you can pick their head off.

Famas(clarion): This weapon is a SMG/Rifle, or that is how I classify it. 3 Round Burst makes this weapon cheap and efficient. You can snipe someone across De_View within 5 shots or less. If a person is running at a large distance, your best bet is to fire and twich the mouse in the direction they are moving, the 3 shots will then be placed in a horizontal line, giving you a better chance of striking the target. If you are in close quarters, switch to automatic, rush at the opponent or wait for them to come to you if you are concealed, then hold down the fire button and unleash hell. At close range and on auto you have about a 85% chance of a headshot.

Gailil: Seems to me this gun can be a Rifle/Machine Gun. Other tips n/a at the moment.

Desert Eagle: It can be very effective at a distance. Always aim for the head or the chest. Even if the crosshair is largely spaced, you still have a good chance of placing a nice shot into your victim. At a long distance, you don't want to take more than 2 shots before you allow your crosshair to shrink.

Glock: Simple enough. A pistol with a small recoil, but very weak damage. At medium range you want to fire as fast as possible, because usually if you are using this weapon that means the other person has a .24 cal or a Deagle. By the time they have spent 7 shots and hopefully not killed you, you still have 14 or more shots left for you to wail on them with. If you get into a close combat, switch to burst and aim for the head, you have 3 chances of striking the head in an instant.

Levels:

de_Aztec:

Terrorist: In the bridge room you can hide behind the crates, jump and crouch, and see an enemy, then you can usually compensate for where they are located across the bridge, which allows you to fire and surprise them with hits.

If you are in the water, be sure to buy frags, so as you go under the bridge you can hurl a good grenade up there and hit 1 or 2 players that frequent the CS Bridge room(preferably not your team).

If you are going through the double doors, jump up on the boxes that are outside of the T bridge room, you can then peer through the doors and get an advantage on players attempting to snipe as you come through, or some hiding behind the left crates as you exit through the double doors.

Counter-Terrorist: You can hide behind crates as well, and peer around or jump and spot targets. WATCH for incoming frags and flashes so you do not get hurt or blind as long or at all. Also watch out the right side of the bridge room if you are exposed to that point, because a terrorist may have made it through the water and up the small ramp. Spray crates with fire if you see a T hide behind them, or if you suspect a T to be hiding behind them, this can usually give you a few hits, or scare the Ts away from the bridge room.

More to come...

Re: Sergeants Tips

I would add that when crouched and stationary the Desert Eagle (#4 on pistols menu) and AK-47 (#2 on rifles menu) are both point and click on the first shot. The 1st bullet will go exactly in the centre of the crosshairs every time. They are also two of the most powerful guns. You can use them as poor man's sniper rifles. They don't have the scope to make life easy, but that first shot is just as accurate as the scout.

Re: Sergeants Tips

Are you using the in-game names of the weapons? Not everyone (including myself) know the what the weapons actually are called in real-life.

I have been playing CS for years using the proper names and am not about to change to the silly new ones. See this thread for info on how to get the real names:
http://www.tacticalgamer.com/counter-strike-general-discussion/32639-real-weapon-names.html
No one has seen fit to sticky it yet (hint).

The AK-47 is the terrorist only rifle (#2 on rifles menu).
The Desert Eagle is the BIG, 7 round capacity pistol (#4 on pistols menu).
