Re: de_port...just another dust
I played a little bit ago in another server. Was nothing more than an AWP and Auto fest so I couldn't really give a review until it's played tactical.

Re: de_port...just another dust
Port turned out to be pretty bad IMO.
Nice looking map, but no tactical play there whatsoever.Certainly there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter.

Now that I've played it a little more, I agree. As a matter of fact, it's rather terrible. That and it's a FPS killer.

Re: de_port...just another dust
I don't know why you guys don't like it.. I found it to be an interesting map.
Since we have no AWPs or auto-snipers here, the map can be considered more balanced. CTs can get to the boat in time to defend it..
Give it another chance here.

Re: de_port...just another dust
after playing it last night, it's a bit wide open. There are places to take cover though. I found one place for the CT's near bombsite B i believe (the Water Towers), the terrorists never even looked there. I could also sit up in tower areas and pick off T's coming down through the storage containers, though i could be sniped from a T in spawn too.
I don't really care for the look of the map TBH it's a bit boring, If played properly can be a tactical map though.

Re: de_port...just another dust
I hear everyone immediately saying they don't like it, but most have not played but a few times.. I think they were predjudiced by this thread before the map was even released..
I will continue changing to it until we all have a true sense of the map.

Re: de_port...just another dust
That hasn't been my experience any time I've played this map. It's a race that at best, is a draw, followed by some deathmatch. It just ain't penstock or menace.
