the art of defensive flashbangs

flashbangs are almost always used by the attacking team and almost never by the defenders. i just don't understand this. like a week ago i was t on prodigy and we were getting our butts handed to us by a perfect ct defense. section8 gets us to start rushing, real rushes, not the straggling slow uncooridinated rushes we normaly do. and we start destroying them. after a few rounds of dominating one ct drops a flash in the middle of us, and we get destroyed, b/c we were so clustered. they didn't realize they won that round b/c of flash so we won in the end but nothing stops a rush dead in its tracks like a flash in the middle of the rushers. i just kinda wish some more defenders would start using flashes to break up rushes b/c it ticks me off to watch a team win by just using the exact same strat over and over.

Re: the art of defensive flashbangs

Defensive flashes can be huge when the attacking team is "stacking up" and trying to breach.

On office, as a T, I always pack 2 flashbangs. There are several places where you can setup, pop a flash when you hear the footfall or shots and come out guns blazing and really put a hurting on the CTs...if nothing else, you will make them move back from their position.

Aggressive Defense (an oxymoron): A naturally occurring situational event where a defender is caught in a role reversal anomaly. Usually associated with lack of practice, discipline or map awareness in a team based conflict.

Theres another terrific use for flashes. Slowing them down. If the bomb is planted, and you are all thats left, throw a flash where the CT is. If he gets flashed, thats another 5 seconds of boom time while he recovers. 2 flashes is 10 seconds, and you all know how many times the bomb is defused on the last beep.
