Re: Tactical Advancement
yea but who is undefended? heck, this is what we do in the army and it works the way it should. Noone is undefended, as the 2nd to last man covers the group from the rear of the column. the last man in line still faces forward, scanning left and right. all is well

Re: Tactical Advancement
God damn plague gets me every time. Actually... have they made any new, better versions of this game? It was actually quite enjoyable.

Re: Tactical Advancement
This thread shows me, once again, why TG is such a great gaming community. In the face of criticism, my question is answered. To any who may have been confused, this thread was NOT meant to be directed towards one admin or instance, even tho a real instance was used.
To understand my point of view on this topic, one must understand that I stopped playing Counterstrike, as a whole, before CS:S came out, due to lack of faith in the CS community. Even match/pug players were deteriorating to the mentality a 12 year old. Sadly, this may be the result of the actual average age of players being 12. In any case, I was quite tired of being called a noob, or any number of random racist names, or an idiot, or whatever just because I (insert any CS action here). I stopped completely when I discovered Tactical Gamer's NS server.
The teamplay I found at TGNS made me completely forget CS. But several months pass, and I buy HL2. Now, CS:S offers me something new to dink around with. So I plug it in first thing I see is a Tactical Gamer server!! "Wow!", I think, "perfect."
And then the story from the previous post ensues. It's not that the rules seemed unfair or stupid, really, more that my idea of fun had morphed to an entirely new beast. Natural selection is about map control, and huge expansive maps, and when I was crouching on the windowed outpost on de_prodigy, waiting for terrorists, it put me back in the days of Hogan's alley, and I quickly succumbed to ADD.
More power to those who have no attention defecit issues.
.
But thank you for all the responses, they are all appreciated, even if they got slightly off topic :X and much respect to all u TG heads out there.

Well, then there's always the alternative, I could crouch on the top of a painting's frame in my bedroom, aiming an AK at the door, and wait for my brother to say, 'OK, let's go!'
(sorry for the sarcasm :P)

Or did you mean something like this? (Do not proceed if you are easily offended)
This little boy is standing in the men’s room. In walks a marine. The little boy asks the marine, "Are you a Marine?" The marine replies yes and asks why the little boy wants to know. The little boy said he had never worn a marine’s hat before and would like to try the marine’s hat on. While the marine is standing at the urinal, he hands his hat to the little boy. The little boy walks over in front of the mirror and starts salluting himself and smiling. Just then, a navy seaman walks in. The little boy looks up at him and asks, "Are you a Sailor?" The seaman says, yeah, why, do you want to have sex with me? The little boy replies, "Oh no, I’m not a real marine, I’m just wearing one’s hat."Official CS:S SOPs | Official Natural Selection SOPs | Official Dystopia SOPs | CS:S Development Team | Help Support TG |

Re: Tactical Advancement
I believe the english army calls that "advancing to the rear", and is usually something that officers take a hands-on approach to.
