Thing is the CT's would be the ones where the T's are, so the CT's have to defend an outpost/building and its "hostages" from an onrushing terrorist team, not the other way around.

If you just let the CT's kill hostages rather than rescue them, well that's just stupid.

CT's would still try to get the "hostages" out of the map, but that would involve breaking through the Terrorist lines...so the best strategy might be to relocate the hostages and, depending on the outcome of conflicts, either defend them from the terrorists or try to get them out.

It just sounds exciting to me, and a lot more complex than the "get in, get out" mantra we follow now with CT rescues. They can be fun, but I'd like to try something crazy like this.

If some TG members want to create a map along these lines, we'll certainly try it out.

One of the maps I suggested in the suggestion thread is a bit similar. The CT's spawn inside a building with the hosties... and a couple of bomb sites. I haven't tried out the map, but the layout from the overhead seems close to the idea Zephyr proposed.

i dont know if its possible but....
how about a map where there are hostages and a bomb.
Like where the T's could plant a bomb and CT's could either defuse it or rescue the hosties so they wouldnt be killed in the blast.
Or am i crazy and that is totally impossible?

I like the idea of having to eliminate hostages, but knowing their crappy AI half the time they'd run out into the open when you're trying to ninja them past the frontline. It would be interesting though, do you split up the hostages, and have a higher chance of getting a few of them through, or bunch them all to the same guy, and have more assaulters. The bomb thing would be pretty cool too. First you'd have to figure out in which bombsite they are. However, bombsites are are really easy to defend with a full team, at least on most maps.

Isn't that what Lockdowns are for?
