As to being kicked for crackjumping, there is the interpretation from admin to admin. I wish we could have a few mandatory nights to meet just to get all who wear TG to have the same interpretation. I went through this once for being kicked for crackjumping. It was a bad call on the admins end. I jumped from a snow mound behind a wall to another mound behind another wall. The admin was the enemy between the two walls. From his vantage point it looked like I crackedj across corridor between the two walls. Luckily I was being ghosted by dead players and they spoke up for me.
hence the need for TGU....go look at the posts in the forum and pipe on in on the discussion if you havent already

Re: Jumping to avoid a nade.

Again, the process requires some amount of understanding and leniency from both the players and admins. I'm not gonna whip out the banhammer if I see someone jump from a nade right off the bat. If i see it being a habitual problem then something is gonna happen. If I see bad attitude for trying to be corrected, there's gonna be a problem. And from the player side, if you feel it's a bad call, no need to go ape either, explain it maturely.

Re: Jumping to avoid a nade.

It happens to a lot of people. You think you're doing something legit, but the way the admin sees it you aren't.

Example: You happen to be jumping on to an object at the precise time that someone begins firing at you. You're already surprised, you're probably dead or lucky if you aren't, but you're jumping and he's firing and it looks like crack jumping. If you get slayed for it then so what. It's one death and you are probably used to dieing if you play this game.

If it's truly an accident then such a scenario should rarely occur. That way the admin will probably realize that this isn't a common thing with you and you probably have nothing to worry about.

On the other hand. I see where you're coming from. It would be nice if everyone had the exact same expectations and if those expectations applied to everyone equally, but people have tried to fight that battle and you can only get so close to that goal.

Re: Jumping to avoid a nade.

I hope nobody has said this yet cause I hate reading, but depending on how long the nade's thrower is from the blast site, will determine how long after it hits something it will take to explode. In the case that it explodes about half a second after hitting ground in front of you, you would be able to get farther away from the blast by jumping (This means if you are mobile or stationary) because the blast radius does not only persist to ground level, but it damages things above the blast as well. all though it would not make so much of a difference, but it still would help to lower shaking and a bit of damage. I also just believe that this is not too unusual in a real life situation, I'd imagine at least.

Yep... all that has been covered and disputed as far as a realistic tactic goes and as far as jumping actually reducing any effects of a nade goes

Re: Jumping to avoid a nade.

Trust you Admins calls guys. If your slayed look back in your console I'm sure you was warned and it will be there. If you havn't been warned you probably did something way out of line and as TG you should know better. Pay attention to the admin messages.

These are very important information not only for you but anyone playing. I don't care if you havn't broken 1 rule in 6 months you need to be aware of those warnings to everyone.

Also Jack until someone does Mentor CSS our SOPS state everything you need to know to play correctly on the server. If your rusty please Visit the SOPS again. Click the "COUNTER-STRIKE SOURCE" tab above to the left and its the first forum on the top
