The size of those bullets should also be a factor, they are very large bullets and do much more damage.

I think it would actually add usefullness to the weapon in the game. We could always try and see how it works.

Aggressive Defense (an oxymoron): A naturally occurring situational event where a defender is caught in a role reversal anomaly. Usually associated with lack of practice, discipline or map awareness in a team based conflict.

Re: Suppressing Fire: Italy

Saw as in the M249? It fires 5.56mm like M4 and Galil. (I hear the 249 even feeds from M4 magazines.) I suggest making it powered between AK and Scout. One to head is lethal, two to unarmored body, three to kevlar... tweaked just right, a belly (unprotected) + chest (kevlar) hit should total 100+. That would allow two-bullet burst kills at medium range. You might set the penetration model so it delivers good damage when walling if you want to allow it to clear rooms from the outside.

The problem is I would never want this super-weapon for cover fire. I'd want it so I could team-down with a simple ambush-rush and get kicked out of the server. Two bullet kills and Source lag correction means with the right lag you can turn a corner and frag before the other guy sees more than your elbow cross the edge of the wall.

Thus, you must punish it with slower-than-AWP motion speed when drawn. Otherwise it's a rush-monkey BFG that doesn't stop firing.

Re: Suppressing Fire: Italy

I added in a damage modification for tonight on the SAW or M249 as you see it on CSS. Let's see how it works.

Re: Suppressing Fire: Italy

Yeah, I got a couple sweet kills where I noticed the damage change, but then there were times where I did 47 in 3 shots and I was left wondering why that was even possible.

I'll leave the damage in place to further test it. I have several different values i can change within ES tools for it.

I didnt have the chance to use the SAW last night, but I was on the receiving end.

One thing that I did notice, when I took a hit from it, it actually physically stopped my movement, and pushed me in the direction away from where I was taking fire. Not sure if this is meant, but it was "odd" to say the least...dang sure showing some knockdown power.

Re: Suppressing Fire: Italy

That's called pushback, Which to me seems like a good thing for this gun.
