reload whenever you're in the clear. Also, if someone happens to catch you, switch to your pistol.

only reload once all of your enemy's are dead :P

I had a bad habit of reloading at the wrong time. Now I try to only reload behind cover or when i know there is no enemy with a line on me. I get alot of kills listening for my enemy to reload, quickly pinpointing their position and rushing them.

You've got quite a bit of time once some starts to reload to catch them off guard - and once someone who's reloading see's you coming after them they usually panic and try to flee - making themselvels more vulnerable

I used to reload all the time because I used to spray all the time. If you only use a few bullets at once, you won't have to reload very often at all.

Spraying with the right guns will almost certainly lead to you killing your target but it leaves you open to others. If you're caught reloading, you should rush towards the enemy with a pistol. It catches them off guard. I've managed to knife a person like that.

Reload, but make sure you tell your partner who you should be working with knows you are reloading so he can cover you

being a pro gamer myself, i can tell u that when they move the mouse downward to control their weapon, it does not have anything to do with the recoil. the recoil is still expanded greatly, like normal, but when they move downward they are controlling the actual spray of the gun. pros know the game so well that they know where the bullets are going to go even when the crosshair is expanded, so they move their crosshair to an area where they know the spray from the gun will hit the target (even tho the target is not in the crosshair)

So the guns have known firing patterns? That seems like a bad idea to me.

This makes me wonder, is it possible to implement a serverside change in which reloading causes you to be depleated of your entire remaining clip? I never liked how you got to magically keep bullets. Would probably do more than we're aware to slow down games and readjust tactical thinking amongst even less-than-inclined individuals.

yeah, I asked someone, and they told me to move the mouse downward, however when I spectate a player who does such a thing, their crosshairs don't expand, but remain smaller and don't expand. Then I tried the same and it turns out my mouse doesn't do the same, so I get this confused idea that it remains small when you control the recoil. So hopefully Im wrong

As a spectator, you won't see the crosshairs change size.

well, what you are explaining does not exist. when you spectate other people playing the game, their crosshair never looks like it is expanding the way yours does. It's a glitch with the game. On their screen in real life the crosshair is probably huge.

Oh cool, thanks guys, I got a new mouse yesterday, a logitech x 518, and found that when I moved it down it worked, while the crosshair expanded as normal. This new mouse is awesome , lol a lot better with it too ;P

Create a server, change the bullet decals to something absurd like 1000.

    1) Stand up against a wall, unload a clip.

    2) Take a few steps back, unload another clip.

    Switch guns. Repeat.

The bullet pattern in the wall is the spread. It is fairly predictable, but varies between guns and distance.

Also, there is a command that you can use "cl_dynamiccrosshair 0" this should stop the crosshair from opening all the way.

NOTE: You should find it if this command is legal, I am not sure.
