I had a bad habit of reloading at the wrong time. Now I try to only reload behind cover or when i know there is no enemy with a line on me. I get alot of kills listening for my enemy to reload, quickly pinpointing their position and rushing them.

You've got quite a bit of time once some starts to reload to catch them off guard - and once someone who's reloading see's you coming after them they usually panic and try to flee - making themselvels more vulnerable
Sometimes a problem with that is, the player will wait until he himself hears himself reloading, switches to a pistol, and waits. The reloading sound still continues. Source, FTL. And a reload tip is, you have 30 bullets in your clip, why reload when you still have 23 left?

I really think that a plugin that gets rid of the clip when you reload would be awesome It'd help against that urge and it'd be fun to play with.

When you type in "cl_dynamiccrosshair 0" it keeps the crosshair from expanding when moving, but it still expands when you are firing so I don't see why anyone would consider it cheating.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon thee. -Ezekiel 25:17

"cl_dynamiccrosshair 0" is a command that effects your crosshair in 2 ways.

    1. Whether you are running forward or standing still, your crosshair will stay at the same size. This does not mean it won't expand when you start firing your weapon (because it will), it simply means that movement alone doesn't make it expand.

    2. When you crouch, you usually see your crosshair become smaller, or tighter if you will. With this command, however, your crosshair will look the same when u are crouched as it does when u are standing.

While shooting weapons your crosshair still expands as normal.

reload if you have backed off from contact when u r sure you have some cover from team mates
You assist an evil system most effectively by obeying its orders and decrees. An evil system never deserves such allegiance. Allegiance to it means partaking of the evil. A good person will resist an evil system.

When was the last time a real Counter Terrorist, or especially a Terrorist, used that logic to justify the loss of 23 perfectly good bullets? O_o

Re: How do you control the recoil of your weapon??

    Controlling your recoil:

    1. If a target is far away and his hitboxes are obscured by cover, fire in single shots preferably .4 seconds apart or more, preferably at his head.
    2. If a target is exposed and far away, you can burst at the target. But not recommended, however you will likely be able to bring your recoil down to normal (ie. at ready position) within 2-3 seconds.
    3. If you need to spray at a target (medium to close range, say 40m or less, less being preferable), then it depends on weapon. Certain rifles are better at spraying than others, but in a general sense, you need to watch where each bullet hits and start adjusting. Pros (or whatever) tell you to aim lower, because that adjusts the recoil firing up the most while you can strafe left and right while turning to direct the bullets.
    4. Recoil can be reset by simply not moving for 3-4 seconds. You can reduce recoil by crouching.
    5. You can also tap your fire key to fire relatively straight with any rifle for the first several shots (like around 4). Of course this depends on how much time you give inbetween each tap, basically its the same as shooting single shots, except much more effective with guns like the AK and colt, vs gali and famas.

    When to reload:

    1. When you are safe. Ie. Hear nothing, know nothing is nearby, and have checked the radar so you are in a good position. (and behind cover).
    2. When your teammates are taking point and shiz.
    3. It only takes 4 bullets to kill people in most cases, dont bother to reload in close firefights or in hectic situations unless you are planning to spray at the next thing you see and trust your primary gun more than your pistol.
    4. When you hear other people retreating and reloading.

Not reloading can be very useful, but it's also highly risky. pressing the reload button but quickly double tapping Q will usually fool the enemy into thinking your reloading, and you can surprise them. The downside is that it's very possible that you run out of ammo.

I would say to reload when you are around 15 bullets.
And yes try to fire at burst at long range.

LOL I would say reload when the enemy can't hear you and you have backup....

Of course that isn't always possible...
