Re: Bleeding Out
If i had a guy go running like a madman when he got shot, I think i'd put the bullet in him myself.

Re: Bleeding Out
Would be ok if I screamed for a medic and wailed like a wounded pig in the voicecomms when I'm about to bleed out? =P
If it were me, I'd
1) Drop all my gear except for pistol at spawn or something.
2) Try to do something useful like peek around corners and windows and report intel, cover hotspots on point, etc, and if I'm not going to live long enough for that I might wander a bit... But I'd definately look for things to do for the team first other than running off like a madman..

Re: Bleeding Out
The point was never to run like a madman. It was to pop out for a second and risk trying to get a headshot. Running like a madman does nothing for your team or objective. Giving away your grenades then taking someone out helps your objective.

Re: Bleeding Out
As a defender, you'll rarely start bleeding out unless the enemies have infiltrated the immediate surroundings of the hosties/bombsites, so rushing out in a tactical and smart manner to try to push the Opfor back is completely acceptable, and it probably will save you from that -1 point that nobody has mentioned but everyone thought about.

Re: Bleeding Out
Pot the minus point means nothing its the team that counts. I don't care if I bled out 6 times in a row and I'm minus 6. The team wins we win.

Re: Bleeding Out
Officially, the minus point doesn't matter. But I can promise you, that atleast 50% of the players do care about it. I admit, while I will work as a team and won't do anything to put the mission in danger(at least not intentionally), I will try to squeeze every extra point out of it if I can.

If I don't endanger my team or the objective, what harm is there?

Re: Bleeding Out
What you dont seem to understand is... you rushing off alone and injured IS effecting the team AND its objective... "Protect the bombsites/hostages or die trying" not "im hurt so Im gonna rush off alone and try to get a kill". Now if you push out when bleeding, and actually use your mic to relay info., then yes it benefits the team/objective. TBH Ive probably heard an injured player who rushes off alone call enemy positions all of about never. They either get a kill or two and die(then laugh about it) or they gung-ho into a world of hurt and accomplish nothing.

Re: Bleeding Out
Even if it's an effective tactic, you still shouldn't do it because of the THIRD POINT IN THE PRIMER, which is required reading!

Re: Bleeding Out
it seems like a lot of the posts here are just repeating the same information but just worded differently.

anyways with the scoring system i always go for the team wins for what matters the most but its nice seeing a good score. If my score is 0 and 5 i start to think that im doing something wrong and need to try to improve my own game. Its more of a personal achievement then anything else and i think a lot of people feel the same way. (there can be much more added for this but im way to tired right now.)

Re: Bleeding Out
Ok, sorry about those earlier posts, I wasn't exactly thinking. What I meant to say, is that if you are bleeding out, you might want to take up a role that places you into the action. As for attempting to get as many points as possible, I simply mean that if my position allows it, I'm going to go for every kill I can. I'm not going to go out of my way to get a kill, but if I conviniently have a nade and I know there's someone behind that corner, I'm going to go for it. If I know there's an injured enemy behind that wood door, I'm going to try shoot him through it. There are times when I choose not to go for the kill.

Re: Bleeding Out
exactly what potshot said. It is always good to try to improve as a player but only in times that really require getting the kill. very well put my good sir.

Re: Bleeding Out
I guess we can knock them both out or start a new thread. As far as score you could be in a very important position using very important comms that help win every round. So as long as I'm a part of something like that I'm truely happy with a minus, 0 or low score.
