Re: Demo Discussion
Thing I noticed, my native res is 1680x1050, and some games, like bioshock. I could lower my res to 1440x900, and gain about 15 or more frames. Crysis does not seem to do much, I gained around 2 frames from lowering my res.

Re: Demo Discussion
Try going through the demo on delta limiting yourself to only fists, throwing, and a laser attached pistol. Now THAT is fun!
The best was picking up a dude inside a toilet while punching the other guy inside the toilet, then whipping around and throwing the first guy you picked up into the guy that was fixing the car, and then mercilessly beating the crap out of the car fixer because he managed to survive it.
If you come up on 2 guys, its also a good idea to have your laser attached pistol equipped. Cloak, sneak up on the guy in the back, pick him up and then pistol the other in the back of the head while holding the first guy. Its nice to finally have a game where a laser attachment is actually very useful.

Re: Demo Discussion
Ack. I can barely run the demo (all low settings and 800x600). Framerates drop to a nice 5 fps during engagements.

Re: Demo Discussion
You must have a really old computer or something. I think its time to do an upgrade. If you get 5fps at 800*600 thats just sick, I feel sorry for you as its a great game even on lower graphics settings.

Re: Demo Discussion
Great they will have 2 weeks of prep time, so availability should hopefully be good.

Re: Demo Discussion
Like someone else mentioned, the more I play this demo, the more I like it. I've gone through the demo start to finish about 4 times now, and I have a feeling others here have done it more times than that.
The latest nVidia drivers put out specifically for the demo make all the flashlights omnidirectional for some reason. The flashlight on weapons look like little suns rather than beams. The Dirty

Re: Demo Discussion
Yeah same here Dirty Lude, I think I've played through the demo about 3 times now. Great news to hear that the game has gone gold. It's been a long time coming and now the game is finally on our doorsteps. Two weeks from Friday can not come soon enough.

Re: Demo Discussion
Played it through 20 times, editing the config files. Changed the speed multiplier and extra strength.
