Crysis - Redbane's Disappointment trauma center
I started this thread to be ready for IF I get disappointed with crysis.
Please add only positive comments about crysis to make me feel better.
I start.
1. The hype about crysis has made me get a better computer so my CIV4 games now go much faster.
2. You can still always look at the screenshots.
3. Its not worse than the game Navy SEALs: Weapons of Mass Destruction

The leading line off that review cracks me up!

Some features apparently were cut from Navy SEALs: Weapons of Mass Destruction. In alphabetical order, these are: gameplay, graphics, and sound.

Classic!!!

Well, to get warmed up for multiplayer, just play CS and Quake Wars back and forth until they melt together, then change the character models until they look the exact same and there you have Crysis multiplayer.

Re: Crysis - Redbane's Disappointment trauma center
dude is there any game you dont bash? im all for having your own opinion, but i always let people make their own decisions. Just because you dont like it, maybe someone else will. And i know people will make thier own desicions regardless of what you or anyone else says, think for a moment that someone will take what you say seriously and never try the game because of it. Dumb? yes....but it could happen.
Also, let the game come out before you make judgements on it. If you taking your judgement solely from the beta (which is the only possible thing to critique atm) then that just isnt fair to crytek. And the game editor is being shipped with the game, so if you can make a better mp mod, go for it
having said that, yea the demo does look to be coming out tomorrow...oh well...its only a day later that expected

Re: Crysis - Redbane's Disappointment trauma center
The editor actually comes out tomorrow with the demo.
I'll flat out say it right now: unless the beta changed a lot, I won't be playing MP much. I usually disagree with a lot of Zoopy's comments, but he's kinda spot on here. Its really missing something.
Onto good stuff:
If you want it for the visuals, you will not be disappointed, at all. This is really a huge benchmark I'd say.
SP will more than likely be very very fun.
There are quite a few quality mods in the works that have very serious dev teams.

true, mp will probably not be where its at with this game, but i think its something that could appeal to other peeps...that said, for me - sp all the way...mp is what cod4 is for!

If everyone remembers, the Far Cry MP was well..could have been better. So if the Crysis MP has improved I'll be happy.

Re: Crysis - Redbane's Disappointment trauma center
I didn't say I hated the multiplayer, I was giving people a tangible simile of the game play. The only thing I hated was the character models looked the same and the maps were a bit too big (and the frame rates, but it was the beta). Other than that the multiplayer was preaty good. The concept I thought was really good, except the maps are too big. I'm sure there will be better maps, and user created maps, and a decent mod or two.
This hold thread is about anticipating that Crysis will a disappointment's, who cares if I **** on some weaker aspects of the game?
I guess freedom of speech only exists if it doesn't make Snail cry like a woman.

Re: Crysis - Redbane's Disappointment trauma center
you can have all the freedom of speech you want..i never said you couldnt, just be aware of other people when you make your opinions. Some people use them to base a game and it couldve been a game they wouldve liked as you can see -

4. Created a lot of discussion which had no point but to help your work day go faster.

Re: Crysis - Redbane's Disappointment trauma center
Alright the bad so far is as follows.
Health regen.
Grenade indicators.
Highlighting enemies.
All of those can be fixed with going on the highest difficulty. I will save the positive for another thread.

Well you can explain this away with the Nano suit...
If you can create a Nano suit.. I kind of figure you can build in all of those features.
The CSS tangent is pretty applicable. That was the first game I thought of when I played it.

Positive things only, at least until I play the demo myself in 3 hours.
