If I keep my 8800GT the cooling will have to be upgraded.
Yea man, 91 C is with the fan cranked.

It's just a hot card.

P.S. yes, its overclocked, but only to like 650.

Re: 8800GT The one card to rule them all.

ATI cards are out. The 3870 is sold out but the 3850 isn't.

Most expensive price is 220.

Re: 8800GT The one card to rule them all.

The 3870 isn't as fast as the 8800GT and the 3850 is a bit slower then the 3850 but if you are on a budge/don't want to spend more then 200ish the 38xx series is your best bet.

I might pick one up if I decide to upgrade.

Re: 8800GT The one card to rule them all.

After reading Tom 's review, it seems that the 8800 GT remains the undefeated champ for us gamers.

Not much better with the 3800 series:

Yea, I mean Crysis is totally stable at these temps even after hours of gaming. It's just unsettling to know that my video card is running EDIT: REALLY HOT.

Re: 8800GT The one card to rule them all.

Funny..I saw the 3850 at New egg...for $179.99 in stock..4 different Brands but I assume reference design... I almost jumped on it because of the Single slot solution and the Low Power consumption (I am running a Shuttle XPC w/ 250 watt PS)... I don't truly think I can handle and 8800+ Card...

Yeah - That 3850 is appealing for the Shuttle XPC's.. price is good too. Only problem with the XPC is the case - it's not good with airflow through those cramped slots - unless you have something other than a stock case.
