You've heard of Tier 1 and Seal team Six right?

Re: 8800GT The one card to rule them all.
Cards sure are hard to find... every shop I know, sells all of them the day they arrive
. You gotta be quick and preorder if you want one.

Re: 8800GT The one card to rule them all.
Hahaha, yeah, I checked like two Saturdays ago, at like 1:30 AM. They had some in stock, I checked 10 mins later, they were all gone.
I just got lucky and found them in stock on the 20th and ordered it real fast. Probably got one of the last few ones, because after ordering I refreshed the item page, and they were gone.

Re: 8800GT The one card to rule them all.
Check out Dell for 8800 GT. Might take a week or two, but their prices are awesome. 208 for MSI at 660 Clock and 235 for XFX...
If I didnt have a card and waiting for 8800GTS I would buy one. If great cards are going to be around 200 in the future we are in for a hell of a time for PC gaming.

Btw, release of the new 8800 GTS is scheduled to 11th of December. This card is suppose to come with either 1 GB or 512 MB of memory and be faster than 8800GT.
Price range 299-350.Last edited by Red; 11-28-2007 at 11:26 AM.

i was just reviewing that artical and the 8800 gts 320 really sucks man
would it be cheaper just to buy a gt instead of another gts for sli?

Re: 8800GT The one card to rule them all.
At this point there are not really any good reason to get any of the newer cards in SLI or crossfire, this also applies to the 320 MB GTS . They will be memory limited. The 256 bit bus and 512 mb of memory makes it not worth to SLI them, the point of SLI is higher resolutions, the bus size and memory size is just not large enough to run Crysis in higher res with good framrate on high settings. SLI will make it run better at more moderate resolutions but at the higher resolutions which SLI is aimed for it wont make enough diffrence to be worth it.
There was some hope for people that would like to go SLI and run Crysis on very high. I just read that the new enthusiast king from Nvidia is coming in February. Prefect for me as I will return my 8800GT and wait for the new king.
