Re: Opinions - Multiplayer
Yeah the release is few FPS better than the "demo" alot just assume its the final copy.. And theres only a few Not even full DX10 servers, as I predicted so just stick with XP until maybe some SP or better nvidia drivers for Vista .

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer
Vista 64bit is working great for me. The 64bit is supposed to give some speed advantage as well. I don't know if it offsets the disadvantage of Vista over XP, but it's supposed to be better.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer
Ok, I got it working, I did not have punkbuster on in my new profile. The game mode power struggle is actually a new and interesting gameplay style. Reminds me a lot of battlefield.
I do wonder why they dont create option to be in small units like squads and have a voip channel just for your unit and then one for you team.
I only played for an hour and with people that did not use voip. I still had some fun, but it was a lot of lone wolfing.Last edited by Red; 11-16-2007 at 01:05 PM.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer
MP is boring only on certain maps, that one PS Desert map is HUGE - I think i spent more time in a pickup truck than I was killing people. On the other hand, the Plantation and that Warehouse setting map is intense, lots of up close and personal fights.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer
I just hate the CS style of having to purchase weapons. Its very uncool.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer
I played a few hours multiplayer yesterday. It feels like playing a Big BF2 map on a public server. I do actually like the Power Struggle game style its very easy to understand and makes things just a little more complicated than battlefield. The map size is quite big but if your used to PR which I am they are not to big.
The furstrating part is that as other games that just came out COD4 and TF2, it just does not have enough support for coordination of strategy, there is no Squads no SL, no good way to give orders on the map etc.
I still think the game has potential in multiplayer, the large maps and new ideas of power struggle is not bad, What I think is that we need some updates and changes from Crytek and Modders to enhance the game style.
It would be interesting to see this game TG style though. And I will keep my eyes on the obsidian edge 2 mod.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer
I think the Battlefield series has done so much damage to the mentality of teamwork.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer
I think its TG teamplay thats the culprit. Its just hard to play on other servers. All other games I try on multiplayer on non TG servers just cant compare.
I have to say I had a blast playing some Crysis multiplayer today.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer
Actually, I take back my previous comments. I played for about 20 mins on refinery in power struggle and could see it being very very fun. I hope more urban maps are released, hopefully cut down on everyone sniping/camping.
