Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

Yeah, Refinery is by far my favorite map. Mesa on the other hand is a map tailored for a 64v64 battle....seriously; that one is too damn big.

Plantation is pretty good too, but it's notorious for snipers

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

After the beta, anything is better than shore. Mesa seemed like it could be pretty damn awesome on TG, as well as Refinery. For once, I was excited that your line of site was severely disrupted between all the buildings and the rain on that map; I've gotten really sick of that style of map from 2142, but this seems like it could be good.

One of the maps just owned my computer, even on all medium settings, of course I was on a dx10 server too.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

Is there anywhere where I can get a view of the maps? I haven't got the game yet and all this talk of maps is bugging me, i'd like to see what they look like.

It is a bit longer than a few weeks off. Sorry to break the news.
Our goal is to release 60-90 after the release of Crysis. Things are still going good, but from what I understand we didn't get all of the support we were hoping from Crytek as early as we were expecting. They still hooked us up a bit early on some stuff though, and the men are pushing hard.
I will keep you up to date, and for sure when/if there is any beta news.

like i said, weeks . honestly though if it lives up to what i imagine it to be (ind depth realism like PR) then it will be well worth the couple month wait

How will you gentlemen be handling the "sniper kit"? Limited class role, or a million uber snipers all sneaking through the Crysis engine foliage?

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

Just got Crysis the other day. Loving it. MP seems like a lot of fun, but in every server I've connected to there have been tons of blatant hackers. (Even on the Punkbuster servers...useless) I'm talking speed hacks, no clip mode, god mode, infinite ammo with the mini nukes...It ruins the fun. So much TKing, no teamwork, and poor admins.

A TG server wouldn't have this problem...I couldn't imagine it at least. I wouldn't even mind the MP as is without mods as long as it was being watched over well by TG admins. I sort of like the buying weapons/tanks/etc. I usually play CS:S, but if you guys start playing in a common server or if TG starts one up I'm there. I hate teamspeak though...Ventrilo all the way lol. Oh well. I'll get on and see what you guys are up to sometime.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

Not popular enough to have a TG server, I was thinking on release it would have alot...

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

I have this game, mostly to have access to the engine for mods. Obsedian Edge (sp?) looks very interesting and is tactically focused. It is just WAY to hard for me to play games now where you have to shoot someone 5-6 times to kill them. Perhaps I played too much hardcore ArmA, GR and SWAT in my day, but having a bead on someone shooting them, then having them do a jumping sideways twist and kill me is pretty old. Or maybe I'm just getting too old to play those style games? Regardless, I'm more into Crysis for the mods then the game itself.

Yeah that's true... I like headshots to mean something too.

When I hit someone in the head they drop immediately. Unless I am fighting the nanosuit NK boys.
