Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

Based on the beta I will go ahead and call it one of the best MP shooters this year.

More then able to stand up to ETQW and UT3.

I just hope we get a decent TG crowd going.

I hope so too. This game and engine is just incredible, I find myself thinking about Crysis when I play other shooters and thats after I just played the Demo.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

Some folks didn't like it... I'm not sure why. I had an absolute blast screwing around in MP. Huge, free-roaming map and plenty of very, very lifelike foliage to hide in.

Best thing is, even with the sniper-friendly environment, there weren't many players trying to snipe.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

lol, I think I played a different beta/game. Countless times I've killed people sniping because they're using it as a shotgun, or people hopping around madly with the rocket launcher.

If TG can get a server up and police it well, yes, this will be fun.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

Maps were too big in the beta. I rarely saw more than one person in one area at a time. Although it was hard to tell because the player model looked the exact same for both sides.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

I asked Apophis and he said TG has plans for a server. I guess we can just congregate in TS for now and meet in a good power struggle server until we have one at TG.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

Anybody tried Multiplayer yet?, is there any DX10 servers available that run power struggle?

I just have to play this game in multiplayer with Physics, its going to be a whole new experience.

First I need to finish the single player though.

Re: Opinions - Multiplayer

I saw one DX10 server, maybe some more up today. I'm not going to install it on vista right now though. Performance was just pathetic.

Maybe I'll give it a install just for the MP side of things then.
